just got my car back.(tranny rebuilt).lost to a 2.x.(details later). the prob is my car doesn"t drop gears/cut's off at 90. was racing a 2.x and a about 90 it just cut out.(about redlining)what do i look for?if i would have kept it floored i would have needed a new motor...........

explain "doesn't drop gears/cuts off at 90". Does it not downshift after 90? Does it not upshift at 90? Does it act like it's hitting rev limiter? does engine shut off?

at 90 i'm at about 6 grand but wont upshift/in d3/d4 won't go any faster. when at lower speeds it feels like not downshifting.(slow as fuck)

I threw in the flag months ago:surrender I already have 2 kids at home . I been telling him while the prices are low to get another car. You can get a low mileage CLs or TLs for 16K and be worry free.

Best to hold off trying to dust off all those 2.x for now until you can get the ride back to proper running condition.

i need serious help guys, i lost all of 4th today and i'm pretty sure 3rd is on it's way out.what could cause this?it also feels like my vtec is not kicking in.i really honestly didn't go that hard on her when i got her back. i haven't went wot with her since i got stretched out bigtime by supra when even i couldn't get past 60 unless i let off the gas.my guy says his guy did most of it and bring her back he'll take a look,obviously he didn't know what the f*uck he was doing when he had the whole damn tranny out.seriously,what could this be so i can tell him what to look at?i don't want to be without a car for another month and a half then it fucks up again.

holy fuck.. I wouldnt say this to anyone normally but I'd say get the tranny fixed, cut your losses, and follow green banana on over to 2nd gen TL... and start having fun again

You've just been shelling out too much money on this thing bro..

if you REALLY want to keep a 1st gen, I'd say buy a 5 speed and just drop an H, turbo, or spray it... either way it'll be faster and probably cheaper than continuing to buy a new tranny for your 3.0.

its always hard to get rid of your baby but with the amount of cash you're putting into it its probobly time to look at somewhere else. bmws are nice but you know that they can be expensive to maintian. TL-S or CL-S are great choices as mentioed above

I know I'm talking to a wall but if you want your car back or running go to the shop on E.Jersey that I told you. You will see a few red 240sx out there and probably a green 90-93 accord out in the front of the shop. Go in and ask for Gil and tell him Ray with the Green TL or CL sent you. Atleast try and get it to shift right with him and then trade it in for a Accord V6 Coupe 6spd or CL 6spd you obviously can't have an automatic.

gill is gonna want $$$ i just dropped almost 2g's. she shifts fine up to about 40-50 but is slow as dirt,and def wont go past 60-70.gill is last resort.......

That's where I got my car from. "The Strip". There are ALOT of shady places there though. There were a few other CLs back when I was car shopping.
