I know I asked this once before... but is there any way to get a turbo on the 3.0 engine?? I am trying to decide on getting rid of the car or to keep it and turbo it, but I'm not going to waste my time if it can't be done. Has anyone, or know anyone that has turbocharged a 3.0? If so i'd like to see pics, or at least know what to use and how to do it, i'd like to do it myself, well, except for the manifold, i know someone that could do that. And if it can be turbocharged how will the tranny hold up to it and what boost should I use? I heard that Honda engines will only handle so much boost (something like 8 or 10 pounds max), something about it messes up the ecu? if anyone can help me out here I'd really, really appretiate it. Thank you so much!
Oh, and one more thing, what about a supercharger? Any available?

Sorry, One last thing... is there any way to get a 5 or 6 speed manual tranny on the 3.0 Engine?? Will a prelude tranny fit? I miss the gear-grabbin excitement of a manual!!

I feel the exact same way as you. I heard also that the tranny needs to be reinforced when you put in a turbo, which i would like to do.
... no supercharger yet.. i emailed jackson racing and comptech - no replies.
... if ANYONE knows if you can drop a manual tranny in there, please let me know as well- that i something i am looking to do.

There is no way to get a 5spd or 6spd in there. Or at least I haven't heard anything bout it... I'm sure someone would've done it already.

Anyhow, if you turbo the CL ... yes you are going to have to get the transmission strengthened. That's pretty much the reason they didn't market that HKS turbo system for the CL.

Nah... honda motors can handle the boost... just make sure u strengthen the internals if you want to raise the boost. All those pro civics run like 22 lbs of boost.

Also a few years back... the Vice Pres at Acura had his 3.0 supercharged.... it ran like low to mid 14's or something like that.

...no other Honda tranny fit's the 3.0 engine?? who cares if it would create too much competition for the Prelude, Honda needs to make the v6's with a 5 speed damn it!! Thats the only thing that bothers me about this company... everyone else has manuals with the 6's, why not honda?? Oh well... why fret... i'll just do a turbo I guess... anyone have any suggestions as to what turbo should be used and where I can get the tubing?? What about a controler, blow off valve and wastegate, do I need those??

He had his 3.0 supercharged?? Why can't we get a hold of that supercharger? shit- if they cant give us 5spd or a compatible turbocharger, then give us a damn supercharger at least!

I'm thinkin about doing the same thing to my car. What type of things do you have to do to the tansmission to strengthen it, and how much do those things usually run? Also, does anyone know how much a turbo would run for, and what other parts need to be strengthened?
