yeah the hole in the middle is a little bigger than the 'knob' of the needle. just slide it over the long end of the needle and then under the 'knob' and it should have just enough clearance to go over the short end.

thats very expensive...
try searching guages for 93-97 accord as well...they are interchangable
even if you can slip it over the needle...you need to unscrew the 2 little screws to the left and right of the needle

theyll all fit, theyre just on the wrong side for the picture taken, if you look at the orientation of the needle hole vs the readout then youll see that its proper (hell on further review ive noticed that the pics have the speedo and tach reversed anyways)
if you wanna do this I will suggest a few things, get the kit for a 96-97 Accord it IS different from the 94-95s, the primsary difference is on the 94-95s the tach is staggered at the bottom on the 96-97s its the speedo thats staggered (or both im not too sure).... and the 94-95s will NOT accept all the screw points on ours, my speedo is the only thing secured by both screws and the tach is off enough that when I first installed it the needle would stick at around 5k every time i opened it up, but it got OK after a while and is perfect now
im pretty sure any 4th gen kit will NOT work, and be careful of the needles I managed to snap my fuel needle clean off, thankfully it was the most expendable one..... and for better look id also suggest removing the lights that shine over the top, that waqy you get just the reverse glow bits and dont have to see the white face, the reason I bought them..... sure youll only have a black needle on the brighter background, but you get used to it fairly quickly
oh and another thing about the 94-95 kits is that the little maintenance color changing thingy is in the wrong place for us, not like it matters too much but thats just something thats there
and for the record I bought my 94-95 kit not knowing, because it was cheaper

I was told by a friend who works at shop that do this kinda thing...
the best way to install glow gauge faces is...1st you cut off the needle off at its base where it meets the center with exacto knife...then do the installation and then glue the needle back on with a tiny drop of crazy glue...ppl usually dont find out coz they never open up their gauge housing after installation anyway...
that way its so much faster coz you dont have to worrying about breaking the needle

i would highly go against cutting the needle off at the base, you might as well break the needle while you're at it because it breaks at the base. just bend the face of it and slide the faces over the needles.

hi AznX TL...what do you mean by "just bend the face of it and slide the faces over the needles".....face of what the needle or the guage cluster????
What I am thinking of doing is use a heat gun and slightly heat the needle and at the same time try to slide the guage cluster......will this be a good idea...I will get the flexibility that I need on the needle and there will be no chance of breakage and the needel can be bend and then straightned again using the same technique ....heat gun...
what do you guys think about this method....

That sux, I've never had a problem with my CL's guage, *knocks on wood*
I love my 4runner's guage, it has the avg MPG city, avg MPG Highway, and miles till empty along with the gas guage
