If you hold down the lock and trunk buttons together you can change it back and forth from "chirp" to none.....does that sound right

yea that works but has anyone had the problem of their remote resetting and going back to the "no chirp" position without any reason. Mine has been doing this on and off for the past 4 months.

I have had that happen for a while, i think if you jar the remote(drop your keys) the battery my be disconnected for a split second, causing it to reset to non chirp mode.

Thats happened to me too. You only have to hold the buttons together for like a seconds or so. I've concluded that it happens in my pocket by itself! (thats my excuse for my insanity!!)
