Why do...

...kids run into the middle of the street without looking to see if there are cars coming?

About 10 mins ago I was driving through a residential area at about 25 mph. A mother and daughter are about to cross the street but see me coming (about 20 feet away) so they stop and wait. Unfortunately the son was playing around and decided to run around the mother/daughter onto the street and right into my driver's side mirror. I stop and reverse to ask if he's ok, and the mother replies "He'll be ok, I think it was his fault so you don't have to worry about it." I said ok and as I started to leave, I saw the mother hitting the son.

Anyways, now the housing is loose (but not broken) and is just resting on the mirror itself. Does anyone know how I should go about fixing it? Should I glue it back on, or does it snap into place, etc? Thanks in advance.

you probably snapped the same plastic piece that i did, i ended up pulling off the mirror and superglueing it back to together.

Oh and kids are completly ignorant when it comes to things happening around them. Just last week i almost mowed down a kid on a skate board that just cruised straight out infront of me.

on they way to school there are a lot of kids in the road. i considered getting a plow at one point. you also have to watch out for the old people. they either forget cars are dangerous or they are so slow crossing they get in the way.

...I have the worst luck. About 30 mins ago while coming home from a concert, I get pulled over on the Cross Island Parkway for doing 72 in a 50 zone. Add this to that kid running into my mirror, it's just been a bad day for me. I also have to work tomorrow too...aaaaaaaaargh!
