why??

why??

why is my car humming now that i put a filter on?? it whistles a lot too when i tap the pedal. any of you guys know what it is and if i can fix it?

I have heard the humming is normal atleast with short ram and CAIs

it should humm like a jet engine. but whistle??? how loud u talkin? maybe somethin is loose. not a tight seal somewhere

Yeah, mine humms and whistles too. It hums because there is no longer a silencer there, thats the whole purpose of it, and the whistling is suposevly normal, at least thats what Acura told me.

the humming is normal like said because there is no silencer and the whistling isn't really a whistle thow it sounds like it a little all it is is when you tap the gas or step on the gas it is the sound of the filter starting to suck in a large amount of air mine does the same thing

i cant hear my intake hmm from inside the car. ohh wait u have 3.0?? ur intake is on the drivers side isnt it??? see mine is on the passenger side. so they hear the hmmm.
