Mine did today. But I guess after 3 1/2 years and 41K miles, it was about due. Does that seem to be where most of you are needing to replace the factory battery?

 

yep yep, mine went dead last week when I was changing my bulbs.

 

mine went dead last year at about 140,000 miles.

 

mine just went like 2 weeks ago. i think it was the original one that came with the car.

My battery is the original from 97, and i have 53000 miles. My car will be sitting for 2-3 weeks with out running during the winter, should i get my battery replaced now to save me a hassle latter. Or just pray it starts every few weeks.

 

My original battery died at ~50K. I'd get a new one before winter comes. When mine went I had little warning. Started weird one morning and that afternoon I was stranded at work.

 

Just out of curiosity, where did you get your Konigs, I think that am getting a pair in the spring.

mine dies about every other week, just to lazy to buy a new one since the car is for sale

 

I have a 97 2.2CL with over 90,000 miles, still original battery with no problems. This is through Northeast winters in Connecticut.

 

You should replace your battery now because if it not doing to well right now and you are going to let it sit for several weeks it will be a pain in the ass to restart it. if you let it sit the battery will drain, although real slow. but give it a couple weeks it will definantly be rather dead.
