Wheels?

Hey guys n' gals... I was thinking about getting new rims for my car. But my question is... could you really tell the difference(looks wise) with 17s, or should I go with 18s? I really don't want to slow down my already slow car, so that's why I'm thinking about 17s. But I do want it to look nice. Also, is our bolt pattern 4/114? and would a 45 offset work? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance...

I would personally go 18's. You can find some relativly light 18's (around 17-18lbs) but they can get spendy, but they look a lot better than 17's.
And for 18x7.5, 45mm offset is just perfect. I have my car dropped over 2 inches with 18x7.5 45mm offset and no rubbing yet.

VTEChump, that does look great. How much is you car lowered exactly, f/b? I'm about to lower my car with Neuspeed Sports which are supposed to lower it 1.8f/1.7b... I think. I was considering the OZ seperleggera 17s, Konig Verdict 18's, or Konig Rhythem... but yours looks nice too I like the Superleggera, but they are kinda pricey... especially in the 18s. I dunno what to do.

The springs were supposed to go 1.75" down, but if I had to guess I would say about 2.25"
all around

I just put 225/45-17's on my 2.2 and they look amazing. It is definitely noticable from the original 205/45-16's. Im not sure if the 18's would look better or not. I love my 17's though!

Hey whats up? I would go with 18's. They shouldn't slow your car do that much compared to 17's. I lowered my CL 3.0 with the eibach prokit and put 18's on with 225/35 size Paradas and it handles great

Why would you want bigger wheels on the rear of a FWD car? It would just make the terminal understeer worse.

I dunno... I was just wondering, cause this is a daily driven car, and I wasn't sure if 8 was too wide for U turns... cause that's the first thing I do when I get out of my driveway. Scraping problems was what I was worried about.

There's no reason for 8" wide wheels in the back. You'd have to run 245 wide tires back there, which would make the handling balance even worse.

Also, what rims do you think would look good on a white CL? I was thinking maybe the white Konig Rated R's, or Enkei RPOM. I really like the OZ Superleggera but a little to pricey for me. On last thing. How much larger (if any) would 18s with 215/40 be compared to stock 16s with 205/55. Thanks
