Wheel stand FTW

well after picking up my 5zigen 18" rims last month, I've decided there isn't enough time for me now to pick up tires so that'll wait till next spring now....

it's especially hard to look at the sexy rims in the spare bedroom, so I picked up a nice aluminum wheel stand (made by Alltrade) on sale only $15!! to store my rims and to keep from harms way -- plus it has the cover to keep me from staring at them....

Hummunna.

They look sexy from here. Good call with the cover, you'll need it in the dead of winter!

I picked mine up from one of the local auto parts store (Partsource.ca) who happened to have it on sale for $13.99

Great thing about it?

The rims (and tires if mounted) don't rub each other, due to the non-contact position of the spacers for each rim/tire.

It looks like the rims/tires float over each other, so you've eliminated any chance of possible scrapes and/or chips to the rims, whereas if you just stack up the rims/tires on themselves, then more than likely you may damage them

LOL yes I've been dying to mount the rims to the car, but decided to wait -- no point in spending $$ for maybe 2 months max usage!

Plus during off-season (winter) I should be able to find a hot deal on all-season/summer tires

Another plus with this wheel/tire stand? I can throw the cover over it, so I don't constantly look at it and wish I were using them sexy rims

They are made by 5zigen, the model is the Super 6

Here are some photos of them when I first picked them up and got them home -- click for more Super 6 pix

I've since removed the red pin-striping (as seen in the new wheel/tire stand photos)

If I spot them on sale again, maybe I'll pick up a couple more and see if there is a way to ship 'em to you
