Whats wrong?

I posted earlier about my car not starting. I would turn the key and hear a click. After i posted it stopped so I went on my merry way. Started happening again last week. So took the advise of all the peeps that answered my Q. I had my battery tested and it was lower than normal so I bought a battery and installed last night. Got up this morning went to start the car and same damn thing happened. Maybe a stupid question but with a new battery does it take time to fully charge. Is it really my battery.....could it be something major. I'm a little panic stricken at the moment. HELP!

naw, the new battery should be pretty much fully charged. It's possible your starter could be going bad. Does your car turn over or you just get the click sound?

Could be a lot of things.. Sounds like it might be a weak elec connection somewhere. Since your batt was just replaced it's prob not that. Maybe starter or wiring to it.. could be something in the ignition/starter circuit.. tough to say. Have to get someone w/knowledge & equip to test it. Troubleshooting elec. probs are a bitch sometimes.

and it's always possible that your new batt is bad too. doubt it tho.

good luck.

No turnover.....just click. thanks for the ideas. I'll have to check the connections. Pain in the arse. I'm sure if its not that then it must be the starter.

when you hear the clicking noise have someone hit the starter and i;m pretty sure the car will turn on. if it does its the starter, if it doesnt its not the starter,(to find the starter follow the red terminal of the battery it will go to this cyliner thing which is the starter)

ahhh, so I think I'm so smart. I heat up the starter casing with a hair dryer.....the car starts. So here I am feeling like a million bucks (thinking I'm a genius). I move my car to the underground parking (i live in a condo) thinking the heat from the garage should be enough to keep the starter warm enough to turn. I was wrong? Car = dead in heated parking garage. DAMN STARTERS.
