i have a 99 2.3 cl and my birthday is coming up soon and i havent done any to it yet so i was wondering what do most people do to the first? i know they dont make that must stuff for these cars but i was thinking about an intake just cuz i want it to be a little louder if u have any suggestions i would be more than happy to hear them thanks

I know youre not going to listen to this but here goes:

Do a turbo first. The amount you spend on bolt ons will never get you anywhere with the F23.

If you add up what I spent on NA mods it would be more than the cost of a turbo kit with far less gain.

that might be around your bithday money spending limit

Id get Window tint, Clears for your bumper , or a CAI.
Keep inmind the intake wont be heard unless you mash on the gas...

I spent $160 on 20% tint...(the legal limit is 35% in Kansas...so mines illegal but i wish i would of gotten 12%

Bumper Clears are like $60

I'd get Clears first, then Tint...then CAI

Intake then clears. If you live in a totally hot area then get the tints.

Intake is cool cause you are stock until you mash the pedal, then at wide open throttle the growl in intoxicating.
It only makes noise at WOT wich is kind of nice sometimes if you like that luxury feel still.


I passed a co-worker on a street one time at WOT (all I had was intake) and his window was down and he asked me "what makes your car sound like a jet!!".

yeah an aluminum wing, and hood pins and lots and lots of neon and def gets strobes and that new siren that sounds like a turbo when you let off the gas
