for a 1998 2.3? is it the same as a 1997 2.2? Thanks!

 

I have a 2003 6 speed, i was on I-95 the other day and was running my car with a mustang, 4th gear i was at like 6500 RPM's doing 100mph

 

you should try to do it and find out. but you hit the limit in 4th gear and your engine will cut off unless you take out the chip or whatever it is yeah govener chip. But I am assuming the 2.3 can go like 135-140? we do hit 100 in 3rd with 2 gears to go.

i'm not to sure about 1st and 4th.

 

yea, everytime i remember to, i'm not in the car... i'm usually too focused on the rpms i hardly look at the mph when i shift.

 

1rst 32mph
2nd 60mph
3rd 90mph
4th have not found out yet and Ill probably never know.

 

Ive done 135 but I refuse to go any faster than that. You could probably do 140-145 maybe more, but it would take forever to get to those speeds.
