I would agree with the Moble 1. I normaly run it in my boat and my cars. So happend the guy who had my CL before me ran Quaker State Synthetic so I have continued with the same oil. Any one no if this is warrented?

Mobil 1 is very good.

You can switch between mineral (regular) oil and Synthetic (Mobil 1) or different types of the same (i.e. Quaker State Synthetic & Mobile 1) with out any problems.

It takes a few oil changes to clean out deposits that mineral oil leaves.
The longer mineral oil is used in an engine the longer it takes to clean out.

I have heared that Redline oil is the choice of alot of racers. Something about useing a lighter oil so you have less resistance and help the engine make more power. They also make trainsmission fluid that is supposed to do the same. Any of you guys know about this?

i only used the redline oil i dont see the difference but im sure the enigine likes it :P but yeah thats what my friend uses in his 1950 ford dragster i will post pics soon, we just got the engine done and we took it to the track. note he cant drive it cause he is going blind and has tunnel vision, but his wife drives it and man does she have a lead foot. we are pushing over 1000 hp and we are running in the high 7's and thats good for us so far. but ill will get some pics soon of the car its sick, and btw i am trying to get a deal from him for optima batteries and see if hey will sell me them in bulk so if all you people out there that want one ill try to see what i can do i think they are around a 100 or so. but ill keep you posted

I would go for Mobil 1 synthetic, I made the switch around 35,000, which is probably kind of late

So, if a person purchased his CL with more than 40,000 miles and had no knowledge of the brand or type oil used previously, would switching to Mobil 1 be helpful in the long run, or would it cause new problems? Just wondering.
