What do you guys do when you dont have your car because its in the shop or whatever?

i haven't had my car since Friday and it has been the most depressing 3-4 days cuz i need to find rides to/from school, work, hockey etc..

so i end up posting here all day which isn't too bad of an alternative

 

when i had my licence suspended for 4 months i wanted to kill killl kill.
i got gross at halo 2 haha

 

Man, when I had my tranny replaced, and xdrilled slotted rotors, inspection and all that crap. I didn't drive my car for almost 3 months. That sucked royally, had to get rides to and from work everyday from roommate or g/f. I feel bad for people like Insyone and Cocoa who haven't driven their car for like a year or more. But at least they have beaters to drive around. All I did for months while I didn't have the car, was be depressed, work, post here, and let the parts and mods continue to pile up.

 

I did have a motorcycle, which was nice to use to get around when my car was in the shop...now the bike is sold and if my cars in the shop for awhile, im screwed...

 

all i know is that the final result will be worth the wait, but i just hate sitting here all depressed and shit...

 

i used to visit the shop every single day just to look at my car.... god i miss my old cL ....

 

I call every day to the shop. dont shower. Smoke 100s of cigs. from time to time. Watch tv. Do homework. pet my cat. Play MOHAA ( im ranked 10th in the united states !!!! ) so dont front. ( jk on the part, i left that garbage behind when i was 13. With age, comes maturity, but i dont know why im so hyper or evil sometimes. I love you guys like a black man loves a brothaa

I'm on my 7th month of my car being down. I just work, work on cars, and take road trips...

 

i wanna go on a road trip..

maybe i'll drive down to Cali next year to check out all the CLs down there

I come to this site, then I start thinking about my car and how I can't drive it. Then I realise that I should stop doing this because I won't be driving it for another 6 months. Then I start thinking about what I should do to it when I get it back, which leads me back to this site. It's an endless cycle.

 

my car is probably going to go to the shop next week.. for 2 weeks.. im getting a rental, i dont know what they are going to throw @ me.. some kinda dodge neon or echo or corrola or something.. lol its gonna be better than getting rides to school and stuff like it used to be but i expect to still be down for these upcoming 2 weeks or so

 

why is it going to the shop? what you need done?

 

i had a rental a subaru forester for about 3 weeks cause my ride was at a shop getting repainted. it was fun messing with a car you don't own cause you don't give a shiet what you do with it?. but most of the time all i would do after work or on my days off is i would always pass by the shop to see how my ride was doing.

 

the hail 2 weeks ago dented the crap outta my hood and trunk.. same day my mom went and made a claim and is already getting her is300 done.. $4900 in damage from a few min of hail.. i took it to the guys and they found dents all over the door, fenders and other crap so they said they are gonna get me a new paint job.. and maybe a few other goodies on the side

 

^ if i had hail damage.. heck any natural disaster damage on my car, i'd be so fucking sad

 

ya, not to mention the fucking ownage on my headlights... condensation STILL going on.. that and all the dings and defects make me not care about my car right now.. i gotta fix the headlight before it goes to a shop

 

When my car was in the shop for a month i went through two rentals, one escort i blew the bead off beating the shit out of it, and a civic that i took rally racing haha

 

Had a few gay rentals like neons and crapaliers. My favorite rentals were a Gallant when my car was being painted and a dodge ram 1500 that I got stuck in a mudpit in the woods and had to be towed out

 

I get depressed thinking about my Mistress sitting in some flippin' garage. And for rides, I can barrow an older FORD Ranger 5sp from my in-laws, steal my wife's Accord or ride my GT.

 

dude, I've been w/o my cL for almost 6 weeks. I take the subway to/from school. Its in the shop right now after the accident. It took the insurance company a month to write it off but then I said I want to keep it so eventually I had to buy it back from them at salvage cost. It sucks ass without my cl and i will definately appreciate her much more when I get her back in a week or so.

 

Yeah, but now you got a "rebuilt/salvage" title. That sucks. My Integra had the RED title. Kinda sucks. However, the Mistress, her title is clean and green. Gotta love that.
