What cities/states do you think drive the faster than others?
Just curious, what cities/states do yall think drive faster on average than others? i have found since i have gotten to fort worth that the drivers here are for the most part slower than normal in the sense that people actually follow the speed limit. An average speed on i30 or i35 is about 65 or 70mph, while back in atlanta alot of times i can do an average of 80-90mph (if not in traffic and especially on GA400 and i285) and not be passing people. While at the same time if you go the speed limit in atlanta, it is very dangerous becuase people are going much faster than it.
i know this is a very situational question, but i thought i might ask!

OKC drivers are in general driving around 10 to 15 mph over all the time. People are freaking nuts here. Even in construction areas where the speed limit drops, these morons will hammer it to cut everyone else off. And oh yeah, most of them drive SUVs and can't handle them anyway.

People around here CAN'T Drive, especially during rush hour. They crawl like 20 mph going into and out of the city.

Being from Atlanta, I would have to agree and say that GA400, I285, I75 and I85 are the fastest. Although the speedlimit most of the time says 55, traffic flows at about 75-80. Sometimes I think that it is more dangerous to go the speed limit. While going with the flow of traffic, the cops don't care, sometimes they even pass you.

i do mostly driving in RI and Mass. and we go atleast 10 over and thats when people are driving slow and about around 15-20 over. normally cruising at about 80 - 90 depending onthe road. the speed limit is maybe 65 on the highways. and if your not going atleast 80 in the high speed lane be prepared to get your ass riden until you move or until we can get around you.

I drove the streets of NJ for 9 years and I thought it was bad. They do have their own way of driving but nothing will pump more adrenaline thru ur veins than driving around Houston which is where i live now. I fear for my life every time i get in the car. No place for cops to hide on the major roads so it makes it very easy to do 90mph +. My roommate and I even raced down the Beltway at 110+ My car insurance is almost double in TX than what it was in NJ if that gives you any indication!!! I also just returned from Cali (San Diego) and all those people drive 10 & 2 and the speed limit!!

So. Cal always has traffic. even late at nights. On 405 there is a 1 and 3 chance there is some traffic because some dumb fuck wants to look at the accident and then they get into a car accident

In SoCal we do 80 on average on the freeways. 85mph and you're still not pulling on anyone. I miss SoCal. And yes, in Dallas these fucking people drive like ricers or fucking slow as shit. But there are mad cops to enforce the law on the freeways out here. And I hate the damn speed limits here. Freeways are 55 and side streets are fucking 30.

Everytime I go to Tampa, FL I take I-75 and people drive a little fast
but the closer you get to tampa
and the more the speed limit drops
the faster everyone goes.
I dont understand at all.

It all depends where you are in each state I guess. Going to Seattle (from Tacoma), it's way to congested to do more than 75 for an extended period of time. But we always smash when we go to Mt. Ranier. That's where I topped my bike out at 170mph

anyone going faster than me is crazy, but anyone going slower than me is just stupid! jk... but yea... the number of cops have been increased recently in Cali i think, or at least so cal... i see cops everywhereeee. So i try to drive the speedlimit of 45-50 on streets, and 70ish on the freeways..

I like the scenario to be like this...
Morons-------> (ME) ------------->Maniacs
This way, the Morons can drive as slow as they want and I can see what the Maniacs are up to.

I've visited New Jersey. Sorry guys but almosteveryone there is either an asshole or a terrible driver. Not saying people here are, but thats what i saw.
Here in Kansas we've got alot of people who have nothing better to do. I see ALOT of old people cruising a good 10mph below the speed limit.
South Carolina/Florida has a good amount of speed racers.
