If I don't let my car warm up, it shuts off. I drive a '97 3.0 auto. Also, today it strongly hesitated to shift into 1st and did it again shifting into 2nd. What the hell's going on!?

 

well depends....if its a cold drive..then it will take longer to shift..cuz its still warming up...but if it was warmed up and it shifts like that then ur tranny is going to die soon.


as for the shut off due to cold start..i have no idea. im not a car expert. haha

no no no, my tranny will not die, i REFUSE to accept that, it's so new it's still under warranty! I understand that's a good thing, but it's still a pain in the ass

 

Either thermostat or tps most likely

 

I have to leave it @ the shop overnight so they can be the first ones to turn it on in the morning, but I'm a freakin' student, I have 5 classes everyday...what the hell

under warranty?? where did you get that from? from your previous tranny fix place? or dealer?

 

some place in spartanburg, it was just a re-build, but @ least the guys remembered me...i tend to be bitchy when they kept my car for longer than i thought it should have taken them
