wet filter on CAI
when it rains my filter gets wet. Its not like i drive thru puddles just rain. Im in houston so when it rains it pours. Today when i checked the filter in the fenderwell area with my hand by touching it, its wet. Now my car is running normal and this is not the first time the filter is a litle wet. Now what u guys think? Is this bad for the car? maybe the water is not affecting the engine. I dont want to get a short ram and the by pass valve wont do anything if its just "drops" of water getting sucked in becuase the fileter is damp.
What happened to your wheelwell? I was driving one day going about 85mph and I guess the clamps came loose. The wheelwell liner came back against my tire and started rubbing it, I didnt know what the hell was going on, I thought my tire was getting ready to blow. I just pulled over and ripped the damn thing off. Oh well.

The oil keeps it wet. Moisture wont hurt your car. Water deep enough to completely submerge the filter is what you need to worry about.
