I was cruising on the freeway and my Tom Tom decides that it's bored of being attached to my windshield and falls [and hits!] my HU. Now there is a nasty scratch on it, but as far as I can tell, it's not as much deep as it is wide. Now, I've heard of Brasso (which is technically a metal polish) working really well on the front of iPods, so I was wondering whether it could possibly polish out the scratch on my HU.

 

I would try plastix.

 

I'm so fucking pissed right now. Not even about the HU, but when I was writing the last message, some motherfucker keyed my driver side door.

Ever i ever find out who did it, I will run them over. I do not care if their limp body dents my bumper. I will seriously fucking run them and their family over.

Well, some good news....

I managed to remove most of the key marks with some car paint scratch remover I found in the garage. I'm surprised it actually did something.

i'd try a new title to this thread and a plastic polish like ScratchX before using a metal polish....depends on how much you care.

 

I was in my house (for about 15 minutes) and my car was on the driveway.
