Sellin the mustang and gettin a CL 3.0, hopefully. Got in a wreck about 3 weeks ago, and I was in the back seat and it was our fault. I've got a pretty tore up shoulder and have been missing work. I figured nows my chance to get a CL because the insurance will, hopefully, be giving me compensation for the work I've missed as well as some pain and suffering money. I'm looking for a 98 or 99, but i'm kinda worried about all the problems ya'll are experiencing with ya'lls trannys. Is this something to be terribly worried about or what? I know I'll be losing power gettin the CL but I don't care, the insurance will be cheaper.
But just what are you all running in the quarter stock? And what mods should I get first and foremost before the others?
Thanks in advance for all the replys and I hope to make this board a new home and leave stangnet alone

get the CL with around 40-60 thousand miles on it.

be sure to get a factory warantee so that they cover the tranny.

it shouldnt be a problem if you get a tranny cooler

and keep it in D3 around town and D4 on highways

WELCOME!

thanks dragon, hopefully I will get enough from the insurance and won't have to sell the stang. But I can't wait to get behind the wheel of a CL.

Whats the average mileage of these cars when they start having problems because of mileage? I've been seeing some good deals on some with a touch over 90000.
And whats the average cost of full coverage insurance for someone in their early 20s?
Thanks,

What about insurance? I can't freakin afford it on my mustang. I pay about 125 for liability on it per month. I figured that would be the price of full coverage on a CL.

insurance would probably less on a cl. we've taken a shot in the nuts on value... so im sure if you see one for 9g's or less with 90k miles or more... its probably about right.
