is a vtec controller

is a vtec controller any good with our 2.3's does anyone have one is it worth buying and if so will the cheap buddy club ones work as well as some of the high dollar ones??

you need to stop making new threads every 2 seconds and take some time to read the noob guide and do searches. On a 2.3 single cam, its pretty much just for show as vtec isn't aggressive enough to make that much of a difference unless you have many mods.

IMO, a VAFC is for show cars.

You should leave your engagement point where it's at. Setting it lower or higher will likely make your car slower unless you have some serious mods. When you do have some serious mods, a chipped ECU or standalone will be better than the VAFC since they allow more flexibility when tuning.

350hp and 50ft-lbs yo, but it revs to 14,000rpms!












yeahs, it's like 220hp and 163ft-lbs.

the H23 VTEC does NOT make 220 hp at the crank stock.

only the H22 Type S and Sir S Spec/Euro R do.


a VAFC will help if you have bolt ons such as intake,exhaust, header, TB, IM. anything else, you'd want a chipped ecu and a dyno tune.

after i reset my VAFC II last year, i noticed less power. but then again, butt dyno isn't very accurate.
