a very frustrated CL owner....

ok so i tried everything to get that stupid stock cd player to work. i just spent 15 bucks on a cd cleaner and the damn thing still doesnt work. anytime i put an cd in there, it does not work. everytime i put any cd in there, the message PE0 shows up. i tried "resetting" and cleaning now, am i stuck with getting a new unit? if i get a new unit, will it look good in place of the stock unit? will the controls on the steering wheel still work? do i need to replace anything on the stock unit and how much will that be?

I just started getting that exact error a couple weeks ago.....can't get mine to work either.

Luckily I still have my 6 disc changer.

I'm currently debating buying a used OEM right now.

I believe that's actually the enter access code error.

Remove your ash tray, there is a code underneath it, punch that in. Or unplug it from the battery.

Or that could be the invalid CD code which means try a new CD that isn't burned. If you're still under warranty take it into the dealership.

It's the error code that tells you your CD is not being read, scratched, or upside down.

I don't have scratched CD's, and it doesn't matter what CD I put in, mine won't play.

There are other error codes that tell you to take it to the dealer, but the PEO error does not state that in the manual.......it basically says clean you CD or make sure it's in correctly

are you putting rewritable cd's in there? or cd's you bought from like Best Buy. Sometimes it just doesn't read the cd's you make from you computer....

could be that your laser is worn out. the lasers only have such and such life span, might not be reading the CDs because it can't. just a thought time for a new one.

i had my stock headunit say PEO around 90K, they fixed it and it still didnt work so they gave me a new one, around 150k it said the same thing and they would not fix it so i went after market. Seems the acura unit sucks and it expensive to replace so you might be better off going aftermarket, many members have complained in the past. As for the person saying its the radio code, its not sorry

peo is an error message that means one of two things. the laser is too weak to read the cd or it is too dirty. Get yourself a regular old alpine or kenwood deck. it will look great and it will make the stock speakers sound a LOT better. my stock cd player took a shit before i even got the car home!

I want my controls on the steering wheel to be able to work

what does it cost to get an adapter on an aftermarket deck to allow those to still work?
