First off I would like to say that I am new to this board and I am a new CL owner. I just last week bought a 1997 3.0 CL and I love it In the weeks prior to buying it, I went to this website everday learning exactly what I needed. So, I ordered a Venom 400 from www.customrim.com (the company that sells all the Venoms on Ebay) I received it yesterday and I was very angry to find out it was indeed part # v10-129 meant for a 1.8 vtech GSR motor ad not the v10-101 that I had ordered. Seeing as how I can never get an answer when I call the number they have on the customrim.com website because it's someone's cell phone, I got very upset. I then talked to a helpful tech at Venom and he told me he would make good and gladly reflash the box but he was like "why would you want to do that, you will get better performance out of 1.8 module on that car becuse it kicks in earlier" He said thats a little secret and if I wasn't happy he would take it back. Needless to say, I installed it last night and if the car could get any faster from that mod, I would hurt myself....anyone have any insight on this one? The car is still under the 100k warranty so I just want what's got more power.

 

If it was better, then why would they create a different one for the 3.0?

I'd stick with the people who make the module and not the salesperson for the company.
