Really the main thing it's good for is changing the vtec engagement point, that's mostly it, otherwise, get a buttload of mods and do a dyno tune
If you don't have any serious mods ie: cams, pistons, headwork, fuel system upgrades or turbo, then you won't see any gains. The VAFC uses larger tuning increments than a stand alone unit like Hondata, Crome, Uberdata etc...
You could probably sell the VAFC for like $150 and download Crome for free. Then use the money to pay someone to properly tune you car on a dyno.
