never done it, but it shouldnt be hard. When the VTEC engages, it has a signal. Just tap into that wire and run one to the cluster, and put in a light.

if you ask me, the idiot lights are to warn of a problem... or tell you that your turn signal or high beams are on... so when you floor it and the light comes on, people are gonna think you have a problem.

An in cluster shift light would be ok, if you have a manual... but thats about it if you ask me.

Thats why I said in the cluster on a manual... I see too many 92-95 civic DX autos around here with 10" tachs and shift lights. If it was in the cluster and actually set to be usefull I think it would be slick.

Yeah...When my 99 3.0 Vtec kicks in, you feel it. I've never ridden in a 2.2 or 2.3 so I wouldn't know how much you would feel it in a four banger....

i was reading "sportcompactcar" it said if there arent three lobes per cylinder on the intake and exhaust cams it's not real V-TEC no matter what honda says. how many lobes do we have ? or does that apply only to DOHC?
