alot of people have said that the venom 400 doesn't work on our 2.2 or 2.3s (manual trannys) compared to the automatic transmission. is this true? i'm kinna paranoid, coz. i just ordered it last night... if it's not going to do much to my car, i need to cancel the order immediately. thanks!!!

Man I was going to order the venom too, until I was talked into ordering the ZEX NOS kit. When you think about it, you add 150 more and you gain 60 or so more horses. I have also heard that the venom does not take kind to manual trannys. I would cancel the order and get the ZEX kit and become part of the Purple Haze Crew!!!!

only one thing about it is ........ you cant keep it on all time and race someone on street when you feel like it .........

but yeah there were few discussions here on how Venom is good , but in few days i see people are saying that it 5speed wont benefit as much as auto ......... ain’t that a b......h

I have a Venom on my car and I think it works you just don't feel it like an auto. Poeple are dynoing their cars and it does give horsepower. Nitros will always give you a lot of power, but dyno your car without, run Nitros for a while and then dyno your car again. Every car I have seen do that they loose horse power, because of the high strain Nitros gives on your engine, you loose compression after a while. So after a while you want to run someone off the bottle, your car will be even slower that it was. Zex works, but for how long on an engine not build to handle it. My friend ran nitros for a year on the street here and there, in a $40,000 9 sec Mustang built for nitros or large turbo. Then one day "BOOM" blew the hood off the car and a rod through his right fender and bent a rim. Said the nitro made a weak spot in his engine. If this was my play car it would have an H22A, supercharger and Nitros on it. But this is my only car and the Venom 400 I think gives me a slight edge over someone with the same kind of mods and not having it. Just my opinion

i'd personally invest in other means of performance.. such as a vafc and i/h/e or nitrous even

f0de, I was thinkin of the VAFC for my accord... what kind of power will I get from it?? Why is it better than a venom 400?? and wheres the best place to get one for a good price?? Also, where can I get good headers for cheap??

if you've got i/h/e it might do something.. nitrous too.. its more of a tuning tool.. and the venom just tricks the ecu into thinking its at higher revs.. you can only get 100 percent throttle so if you want that.. just floor it.. don't fuck around with a venom.. its a waste.. either ross or me for a vafc.. i dunno what kinda price i can get but check with ross too

I can't agree with some of the opinions but all of us have different ways to look @ things... I have the venom, and when I have it off my car doesn't repond as good and as fast as when I have it on.....I have tested it racing with my friends. I have raced them all with the venom on and off many times. I can feel the difference and my friends too. Specially under 5k rpm. I think it was worth it for me....but that's just me..the only reason I turn it off is to save gas...gas goes down like crazy when I have it on....I feel like I still have my 1989 V6 Grand Prix.
