Under_Construction_Pt.1

While I've been in Orlando, Florida I'm sure my friends here at AZ

have been curious as to what I've been doing with myself and my CL.

Well, currently as many of you know I ride a 89' Celica hoopty (30 mpg!).

But what many of you dont know is that my CL has been in the shop for a little while

now and its is completely a project car. Since i've had the Toyota, I have had the time

and money to do certain mods like full exhaust and coilovers. Having the beater (celica)

has been a blessing, the car doesnt owe me shit @ 95k mi and the 700 bucks that it

costed me to purchase the car (67,xxx / April 05). I suggest you guys get a beater

if you dont already have one. Enough with the talking, while i've been out here -

the CL has been in the body shop getting a full body repair and color change.

"Infiniti FX45 Berylium"

heres an image of last semesters final project @ school

oh yeah,

this is only part 1 - theres a lot more to come (interior is next).

sorry , i know some of these pix suck donkey balls

Scappy Auto Body.

A body shop near Hicksville train station.

She'll be done soon.

when the paint job is finished, she'll be getting a lot of work done to

the interior. I plan to have the most luxurious CL on the boards-

we should have a meet in 1st Quarter 07 in NY and one in ORL

so i can show off! btw, leave comments about my project with the GTOs.

I need feedback so i can become better @ computer graphics/animation

Greg, glad to finally see some updates. That paint job and such is gonna be sweet. Can't wait to see the finished product. And I agree with what you said, if you really want your car to be a project car, you need a beater. Especially if you deal with winters and salt. I love my toyoter beater too. Keep us up to date with the status of the overhaul

that paint is lookin nice, cant wait to see pix of the final product.
a biiiggg on making the CL luxurious, thats what i like about our car and its nice to see someone taking it down that road instead of turning it into a sportsmobile. nice celica too, i was looking for a mid 80's stick celica to pick up as a beater but could only find them for 1000+ and they all had more than 150k miles.

as for the render, the models are absolutely brilliant and the lighting is very nice but the material on those bumpers make it look tacky :S

icky 'chrome'

good chrome

other than that, make the bumpmap on the road surface a bit more closely packed and almost twice as deep, everything else seems perfect

Did you use spray paint to do that???
Don't get me wrong, I know you said its a beater... But next time, spray the paint a little wetter and evenly...
Other than that, the color on the CL would be nice, I want to change my color from the nasty green but I'm not sure what color to go with...
