Tune Up?

Hey guys car just hit 50K and wondering if there is anything I need to do. It's 5 speed, someone I was talking to said somethign about changing gear box gease or something. What all fluids etc. should be changed, spark plugs and wires? any suggestions on them. Just tell me anything I should do to get my car back up to par.. seems to have lost a little bit of speed since I have first bought it.

Thanks in advance,
Nick

I had my brother, an Acura mechanic, do the 60K service to my car. He changed all of the fluids (oil, tranny, coolant), spark plugs, and adjusted the valves. It really helped out. My car ran almost like new.

Why did you need the Valves adjusted? Is that when you turn on the car and hear like a tapping noise, or something like that. Cause my car does that a lot and it pisses me off. I just called up Acura they want 120-130 bucks to adjust the valves, crazy! Does anyone have expierence with adjusting the valves? Can I do this by myself?

Yeah...those are probably your valves tapping...you could do it youself, if you know how to adjust them...but you need special tools to adjust the valves, take it to the dealer...better than fucking up your car. A tune-up on Honda 4 cylinders...is getting a new cap and rotor....new wires (check if you need them, the old wires might not be too crusty.) and new plugs...again check them...but they should be changed every 15K anyway. As for the lube stuff...go buy that grease from an auto parts store and jack up the car...and find out where the grease is already..and put some more on.
