We have a 99 CL Coupe and were wondering what the little black slotted cap or button thing was on the trunk floor all the way to the back on the left side as you are looking in?

We want to install a CD changer and were looking for a factory plug-in in the trunk. Are 99's pre wired or do you have to run your own ccable up front? If so, what is the best rout for the cable? Thanks, John

 

You'll need to run the cable yourself.

I ran mine from the head unit, under the dash, under the door sill, under the rear seat, then back into the trunk, to the CD changer.






Are you referring to the black circle-"thing" thats under my amp?

I went out and looked. It's just a "clip" to hold the carpet to the sheet metal (keeping it in place).

 

Thanks! Been raining here non stop and haven't been motivated to do the install or check out that little clip. Will install the changer this weekend. john
