Exclamation Transmission Problem

My 5th gear is hard to engage sort of. It also makes a crunching noise, even though the cluth is depressed completely. the only way that can be avoided if i take a second or two pause between 4 and 5 when upshifting. Whats going on?

is this been a consistent problem or no. cold weather could have an affect. ive noticed this winter a few tranny hiccups myself

are you having problem shifting into other gears. check your clutch fluid. have you ever replaced your Slave Master Cylinder.

i would say it could be your snychro's but thats too general of an assumption

couldn't tell you, but my car sometimes is a little hard putting in gear. I think this is kind of normal for our rides. As long as there is no slippage, I think it really isn't an issue, but could be syncros or something along those lines.

this started happening before i put my car into winter storage, for about 2 weeks, and about a week now that im driving it again. first gear is sometimes hard to shift into also(very rarely), others are fine. Nothing has been replaced as far as I know. If its the syncros...how serious is this?

i believe it is the snychro's becuase beacuse my cl has the same problem sice i purchased it. the first thing i did was take it into a transmission shop and hd them diagnose it. they told me the fifth gear snychro is has or is going bad. he told me not to worry about it unless it becomes worse and it hasnt.

thanks for the responses...but what should I do now? Look into a used transmission? Rebuild this one? Leave it? my car only has 163K Kms on it, i plan on keeping it for while and I'd rathe do something now rather having it fuck up all of a sudden.
