Tranny Bla Bla
Beating a dead horse, Broken record.............I know you guys are tired of hearing about peoples missfortunes on this issue, but....
Yes, I'm a new member of the "new transmission club" (85,000 mi). Seems to be the most Popular place around. Also seems I've been lucky to get that much out of it (98 3.0). More people have tranny issues than Lowering, Stereo installs, rims etc. Sad. Unfortunatly, reality.
did a search but couldn't find my question:
Has anyone had better luck with the new (replaced) transmissions? I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm just wondering if they had recently FIXED THE REAL PROBLEM, or are they just changing out broken transmissions with the same shit (polishing a turd).
You'd think they would fix the real problem and give you (as a replacement) a transmission that doesn't have the same flaws the old shit had.
Companies ARE companies, and they may just keep replacing shit with shit, and eventially (15 years) the problem will go away. Sorry..... I just had to vent a little. Thank GOD I had the 100,000 mi warranty. Again, Just venting.
Are the new ones ANY better?
BTW: Acura Care has Absoloutly been the best. They have taken care of me from top to bottom (on a used, certified car). I could not have asked for better service from towing to rental and coverage. Dealers on the other hand..........

85-86K seems to be about the breaking point.
I just hit 86K and my tranny just started slipping outta gear.
But I definately think that a new tranny would be better than a rebuilt one. If you have 3-4 G'z which most of us don't, Dr. Evil tranny is the way to go. Wish I could afford one
