Trade-in 97 CL 3.0

Audi deal just told me they would give me 6,500 for my CL.

The car has 65,500 miles and is in good shape.

I could not believe it.

I guess we are all intitled to our own opinions, but why in the hell would you trade in a acura for an audi? Trade in's always rip you off. That is still way low for a trade in. From kbb i got 9030-9690.

we traded in my girls 97 w/ 65K on it over a year ago and only got like 9K

rippin ride, don't listen to the KBB on these cars, they have depreciated beyond anyones belief. I mean shit, i've seen 01 and 02 CLS's w/ like 30K on them selling for below 15!

michelin, what audi are you getting?

why not just wait for the new TL's that come out in like 4 months, I guarantee they will lay the smack down on any audi A4's and even hold up against the S4's when they start making them again.

04' tl = 280 hp , easily passin 300 with i/h/e

That seems way to low. Trades-ins are always the biggest rip off.

"Was the price of $6500 before or after you dealt you asking price for the Audi?"

Before we started working on the price of the car.

"michelin, what audi are you getting?"
I've looked at the S4, TT 225, and the new A4 1.8.

"04' tl = 280 hp , easily passin 300 with i/h/e"

Pics??????????????????

They have totally redesigned the acura tl for 2004 and are releasing it this fall ie. like 6 months!! Im planning on getting one when they come out. No pics yet , note even spy pics! But just be patient they are coming. Also they are making the last of the acura cl's right now, Acura is scraping the design. There has been talk of a new cl coming out redisigned in 2006 but the only thing concrete is that right now this will be the last year that cl's are made and that the new tl is coming out this fall. Acura is trying to compete with their european conterparts (BMW $ Audi) thats why they went up on the power to 280bhp.

Oh yeah and if your looking at S4's I hope your looking at the new ones based off of the new A4's design, supposedly they have 330hp which I believe is more than the old S4 had in 2002 when they stopped production to redesign it on the new A4 frame that just came out not too long ago.

I've seen pics of the new S4. My only issue with that car is the price.

-------
The car that I "want" is the 01 BMW M Coupe (the hardtop Z3 with a M3 motor, looks like a shoe). The only issues is they are hard to come by.
---

who knows, I have a guy coming by after work to test my car so with any luck I will have a new car this weekend.

yea but the new S4 is gonna be big $$, and anyways the older ones are just power monsters, just throw in a chip and you are looking at close to an extra 70-80 HP and 60-70 lb ft!

The Acura dealer sold the car for me..... But I picked up a 03 TL-S with Nav and a set of Comptech springs while I was there.

hehe nice purchase on the 03' I like the way the 4 door looks too. Just an update I talked to my friend at the dealership who just got back from the TSX meet and greet test drives and he said that the new tl's stock power is going to more likely be around the 295-305hp range, Acura has now surpassed the 3-series and is now vying for competition with the 5's he said.
