Track Times (3.0)

Ok, so I'm a little PISSED off right now. This was the first day for the track to be open, and they did NO track prep at all. Plus the day was cold, so the track was cold, PLUS I didn't have time to take off the 18's. I fuking squelled through the first two gears evey time becuase I was getting NO traction. But it was fun to see the mustangs get some serious wheel hop.

R/T .360
1/8 10.446
1/4 16.136

R/T .057
1/8 6.924
1/4 16.174

R/T .097
1/8 10.490
1/4 16.199

R/T .001 (<--------HELL YEA)
1/8 10.561
1/4 16.285

I got twelve runs in, but these were my best.
Most of my reaction times were ~.035 area, I was killin that. But my 1/4 made me mad, since I know I can do better. There was alot of pissed off people complaining about the track. But we had a good time anyway. Just need to go back when it warms up more, and go to a different track. If I took my rims off, and got some good traction, I'm pretty sure I could pull high 15's. Oh well. Ran my baby hard, and she took it like a champ.

Well first of all, the automatic V6's let you shift manually if you want (via 1st, 2nd, 3d, and 4d). Second, there is still alittle bit of technique in launch. You can power-brake, neutral drop, and the RPM's you do everything can make a difference.

However, technique is not nearly as important as it would be in a manual tranny, so it doesn't make a huge difference.

Like I said, I had 12 runs. The best were from a power brake 2000 rpm, and in D3

You should be looking at mid 15s with a nice track (and trac-tion hehe). I forget who it was that hit 15.5 with just an intake. I dunno if your exhaust helps or not.

yea, .001 would be a redlight. .500 is the best you can get unless you are on a pro tree and then it's .400

my best is like .513

ok, im not lying. I have the slip. at this track perfect would be .000 meaning you went at the exact time the light turned green. IF I RED LIGHTED, I would recieve a negative number. I told a friend of mine about that and they said the same thing about the Kansas City track. (that .5 is the best) This is the first time I've ever been to the track, and I told you this one was fucked up. Maybe its dif here?

KC members, anyone been to Heartland Park in Topeka?

What gratification would I get from lying???? If I was lying, I would say I ran a 15.5. I assume a .001 is the same as a .6 (if a .5 is perfect) And its kinda fucked up you callin me a liar.

Neutral drops =

Powerbraking = not quite as bad

Dumbasses, it depends if its a pro tree or not. If it is, .5 is perfect. If not, .000 is.

hey no problem with you man, just alot of BSers around boards like this and it sounded like you were kinda lying, cause i've never heard of a track like that. I do however stand corrected now, so for showing me.

Dude, Heartland park is trashy as hell...they were going to close it down after allt he shit that happened last year. Where around KC are you? You should be spending your time at KCIR, down in Raytown, take 435 to the 87th street exit and then go east, you will run into it on your left hand side...

there is no way you can pull better than a .500, at lesat not a real racetrack (one that isnt jacked up like Heartland)

.400 for a pro tree; .500 for "regular tree" = PERFECT!

I suck at the pro tree. I ALWAYS red light!
