Tonight on the way home from fishing.......

I'm cruising on the 78-East back from Oceanside, and this Red 99-00 Civic Si pulls up next to me and paces me. I have no idea why, because my car looks pretty stock I just have a 1.5" drop and athe A is black on the back. All I can see is that he's got exhaust and a drop. He's also got a passenger, and they are both about my age. They are also both looking over at me smiling

I drop it to 3rd and wait for what I knew he was about to do. He drops a gear or two and tries to bone out.....I punch it (i'm in 3rd @ 5,500 ) And I imediately take back the carlength he just took. By the time I hit 7,000 rpms in 3rd I was already a good 2 cars ahead. I slammed it into 4th and kept going, just so he knew not to pick on CL's anymore By about 100, I was like 5-6 cars ahead of him and then he backed off and I was about 12 cars ahead in like one second. :P I hit the brakes and let him catch up. He looks over all shocked and then gives me a thumbsup. I saw his buddy making fun of him or laughing at him too

About 5 minutes later I pull up to guess what......A 99-00 blue Civic Si!!! This one also is dropped with an exhaust, but also has a Red DC sway bar in the back I think to myself, hmmmm that was kinda fun...maybe I'll do that again real quick. Since there was absolutely no traffic, I pulled up and reved on this guy. He also had a buddy in the car. They both looked over and their eyes got all big and the driver shook his head:shakehd: I'm like awww c'mon puss They just stared at me like I had a Viper or something and they knew they'd get spanked. WTF? No fun :o

So I came acrosss 2 Si's today, punked one real bad and I guess he spread the word real quick not to fuck with CL's, cause his Si brotha was scared :P

Anyone else race any Si's lately? they were pretty quick to my F23, but they want no part of the H22 without boost

We hit up this Giant Lagoon in Oceanside. We have like 5 good spots that we switch off fishing. Today we were under this bridge right off Jefferson St. (78) And I caught three decent largemouths. 2 were about a pound, and one was about 2 1/2 lbs. My buddy caught 4 but they were all less than a pound We've pulled a few 4-5 pounders outta there occassionally

I'm more into Deep Sea fishing (H&M/Fishermans landing) but the multiday trips get expensive. We used to go like 5 times a year on 3 day boats, but now I only go like once a year Plus my uncle sold his boat I want a boat so bad!!!!

have you raced any woth your new mods?? Since you got tuned? Si's are seriously SLOW unless boosted or ALOT of money into them. I don't see how any bolt on Si's try to claim high 14's low 15's if you ask me. They could barely pull up top on my e/i/h F23. From I stop I could beat them with my old motor. Maybe they weren't great drivers, but still. bolt on Si's=SLOW

b16's in general are pretty weak. I have 2 friends b16 crx and 93 hatch b16 both slow

The si i've always raced is my friends...he has 10,000 into his car...but mostly show, and all the bolt on's...he's getting a turbo kit, and putting in the gsr head....also, i know of one guy with like only 3 bolt on's in his SI, and he's a damn good driver...he use to practice his launches every night untill he blew his clutch (he was gonna get a new one anyways)....and for some reason everytime i was beating him, he'd double clutch and just gain on me like nothing...i still dont see how that works...but yea, other than those 2, they dont put much of a fight to me....no i havent raced any si's with my new mods, not even with my UR pullies from last year, lol...(november)

really? Si has 160 hp and weighs a lot less so how do you rip on them when our f23 is 150 and we weigh a ton more. Both with bolt ons they still gain more hp than us...

are you sure?

we should go fishing sometime, I love both pond and deep sea. We go on trips once a year, this year we are going to hawaii, we usually go down to cabo and hunt some marlin. We went fly fishing in alaska a few years back, great trip. Caught 40 salmon a day and nothing under 15 lbs.

you'll appreciate my pets

yeah dude i'm sure The reason Si's are slow is cause they have like 0 torque Well actually it's like 110 or something. F23-has 155 tq stock, so it makes up for it. Usually when I raced them from a stop, (bolt on ones) I would rape them off the line by like 2 cars and then they'd slowly catch up, but I could pretty much hold them off till about 80. Whether or not the drivers were great, I can't say. Then I raced a few stock ones from a roll, (friends of mine) and they couldn't pull untill 4th gear:P

Si's are kinda lke s2k's, with their lick of torque, if you don't launch them perfect, it ruins their whole run.

unfortunately about 2 months ago 3 of the bass died (old age). They were roughly 3-5 lbs. We still have one left though and he's a hunker now. But he is really lonely and bullies all the other fish.

We use to have these behemoth cat fish 15+ lbs but the clorine got fucked and they died too. But the ones in now are growing quick.

I've got a SICK video of me feeding the bass mice i'll have to load up.

pond is in my parents yard

not saying that Si's are super fast, but if you were 5-6 cars in front of him theres no way that he was on it. DON'T come back in here flaming cause I'm just saying, remember, i'm an H22 owner also. ;-)

actually, he was on it, he went first to....I wasn't even the one who instegated the race, so I'm postitive he was on it. He had exhaust, or a muffler at least, and it was loud. (definately WOT) The 5-6 cars was from about 65-105. Thats just a guess, BTW.. could have been 4 cars could have been 7. It was alot. Hard to tell tho from the rear view Oh and he did have an extra passenger while I was by myself Like i said when I finally noticed that he let off, he was more than 10-12 cars back. Not sure exactly when he let off, I wasn't staring in the rearview the whole time.

You might not believe it, but an extra passenger is easily an extra carlength. My friends and I have tested this over and over, from a roll and stop

Leon, you haven't had similar results with si's or what? BTW-what brand are your rims again? I like em alot, might get them
