Tomorrow's the big day! Any tips?

Allright guys, i have been talking about it for awhile and i am doing it tomm. I am installing the eibach pro kit along with KYB AGX's. I am doing it myself, with the help of my friend and i got the spring compressor tonight from pep boys. $53.00 deposit on the damn thing! Anyway, i am using the thread firstgencl posted not too long ago and hopefully i will have it done under 5 hours. My question is, do any of you out there have any advice or tips to make the install go smoother? Let me know, i would love some added help.

yeah.... have lots of hand degreaser around the house when you are done.

also.... try not to break anything, or wind up with spare bolts at the end of the install. :P

i know i didnt help... you're gonna do fine.. its not that hard.

Have fun!

You'll be proud when it's done!

BTW: Hopefully, you've already sprayed the bolts with penetrating oil!

Those bolts have been marinating in liquid wrench for a full 24 hrs when i get to them tomm. I put 4 applications of that shit on there! I feel cool now, its the first time a moderator has actually said something nice to me! It shows im not a newbie anymore j/k

Anyone else with some tips?

Good luck man. I know this sounds like a pain but if i were you i would see if you can get all the bottom mounting bolts free before you attempt the install. Everyone said the backs are the hardest but my fronts were stuck. I ended up breaking one loose and taking the other down to the gas station and had them do it (didnt charge anything just to break it loose). The reason i say to do this now is this way you can take it somewhere have them loosened (and retightened of course, just broken loose) so than you can do all your springs at once and not have to drive somewhere in the middle of the install with a partially lowered car

good luck !!
I changed the springs and shocks on my Legend last spring(also used eibachs/kyb). I suggest u get a long pole to attach to the end of your rachet. This creates Leverage and makes it really easy to remove those pain in ass bolts ( just slip the end of the rachet into the end of the hollow metal pole and use the pole to push the rachet- I used the handle from my Hydraulic Floor Jack)- worked great on my 14 year old bolts.

I had problems with the spring compressor I rented from autozone. It was too big. the claw parts wouldn't fit inbetween the spring gaps. I hope u don't have this problem.

Good luck
Esti

Have a couple of chairs in the garage and a cooler with some brews for you and your buddy.

This will be needed for those times when your pondering why something isn't working the way its supposed to!!

Thanks for the help all, i pushed the install back til tomm. My mom stayed home from work today, and i don't want her to know im doing it myself! Its not that im not capable, just shes anal about what i do to it because it is a certified preowned, she wants me to take it to the dealer for everything. My car only has 43k on it, so they shouldn't be rusted on there too bad. I will use the trick esti said with a long bar. Any other advice will be greatly appreciated.
