Tire size

Hi my OEM tires are worn and in need of replacement. my questions.

1. What is the best brand for ride comfort and are least noisy?
2. Would I be able to go to a wider/taller tire to fit the oem 16" wheels for more comfort. Will there be any rubbing problems if I used bigger tires. (It seems the CL has plenty of space in the wheel wells.)

I do have a set of snow tires so I'm considering summer tires.
any input is appreciated.

i just replaced my tires. I was told they stopped making the Michellens that came with my car. I got the conti sports. I love them, but they are pretty expensive. They are like 240 dollars a wheel, but i got them for 150. You could proboably get a deal on them.

www.tirerack.com is a good place to start your search

I have Dunlop sport A2's less than 90 bucks a tire and they are good in rain and snow and are not loud at all.

Be careful on oversized tires, there's plenty of space between the tire and fender, but the rear upper A arm is only about 1/2" from the corner of the tire. That's what you need to watch out for.

I also have dunlop sp sport A2s. Good performance, wet and dry, good cornering, good breaking, good sound level, basically they are really good for the money.
