the clear corners will look good, and if you tint the tails, only tint them lightly

So would 20% from rockblocker be light enough that it wouldn't look bad?

Also, I was thinking about maybe getting smoked corners + the tail tinting. I figure it'd look pretty sweet.

Everyone always confuses this, but it's backwards with Rockblocker.
20% is "smoked", 35% is "dark smoked"

I think 20% would look good.
Sometimes I wish I got 20% on mine, only because when the 35% gets dirty, there's no depth to the lights. It can look kind of weird.
With the teal, I think a bit of "ruby" showing would look better than the bright red or dark black.

Okay, 20% it is. Thanks shnee.
So one last question. Clear corners or smoked? I'm debating between these two.

clear

smoked

Would blackhousing your headlights make driving at night more of a pain in the ass? I recently installed the smoked corners and was thinking of making my headlight housing darker.

Clear corners are a MUST. Tinting the tails might not be so nice looking..

my instinct is to say go with clear.
i think they look really clean.. amber and teal dont really mesh well anyway.
i've only seen two people with the smoked corners, so i haven't really formed an opinion on them yet. i think they have the tendency to look sloppy, but it might just be angles and the fact that pictures never really show what stuff looks like in person.
but i think blackack might be on to something there with the blackhoused headlight combo..
i'd take a gander at some other cars with the smoked corners and headlights, photoshop them onto your car and see how it looks.

teal is a 'lighter' color, teal + smoked stuff = tacky.

Now cyclone blue is a diff story.

and rockblocker looks good on white cars too!

edit: look here for inspiration

idk just not a fan of rockblocker unless its on a black CL. when i think of rockblocker i think of the tint of my friends mustangs tails. not honda/acura.

but personally i think your car would look sick with blackhousings.

No, you only black out the non-reflective part that doesn't actually have to do with output, it's just the outer trim. Smoking the actual headlight lense will affect light output.

And I agree with daniel, I only really like the rock blockers on white and black, and only white cuz klepto made it blend into his white and black theme, not a big fan of it on other cars, but I sure do love the way it looks on mine

For reference, cuz i like to whore my pics. Here's the smoked on black and the smoked tails, but as you can see the smoked matches my smoked/cf/black headlights, which is why you'd want to at least blackhouse

Clear vs smoked

Tinted tails vs stock

playah8ta, that's pretty much exactly what I want my CL to look lie once I'm all finished with it. Sweet ride. What kind of rims are those?
The tinted tails do tend to look best on black cars, but Think I might be able to pull it off.

Okay, I just bought some clear corners and I think I'm gonna leave the tails alone. Next on my list are HID's and new suspension

i know how u feel after driving 4 hours back and forth from State College to New York this weekend. Luckily, my friend has bug and tar remover, so im gonna go to town on the front end once i get a free moment.

Gobias, looking at Dan's teal CL with the lightly tinted tails i'd say go for it. It looks nice.

Oh and BLACK ACKS FTW!!!!

I might sometime on down the line, but for right now I'm gonna save that $50 and put it towards suspension. I'm sick of looking like a 4x4. Only problem is with the way the roads are here, I can only drop it maybe 1.5" or so without bottoming out 20 times a day.

And Gobias, good idea on gettin a drop. It looks sexy. I thought once i took off my rims, my car would look like crap even with a drop, but the drop managed to preserve the sexy of the vehicle lol. I think im dropped juuuuust enough not to be bottoming out everywhere...but i still do bottom out in certain places (sportlines/tokico blues sitting on 15's for the winter)
