I'm considering getting tint put on my car and was wondering if anyone has seen a CL with the smoke tint or just something other than what is normally seen with the "black" look. Also, I posted about the Double DIN in the AV section, but not many people seem to look at it, so I'll ask again. What does the 2.2 look like with a DIN. And where can you get a trim ring/double din install kit? Crutchfield says you can't do it but SumKid says you can. Any help?

 

I asked at Best Buy right before i bought my stereo from crutchfield and they said they could put in a doube din for me. I ended up getting single din from crutchfield and used their install kit which was ugly. I ended up buying a pocket from ahmotor.com and putting it under the radio. Looks much better. As far as tint goes i heard the tint and the regular black are the same. I have an upgraded version of smoke/black tint so it is alittle more reflective to block out more heat. During the day it is kinda shiney and at night it looks black. Very happy with it

 

i didnt use a kit when i put my din in. i just custom fit the din piece into the console with the stock center compartment. a double din will fit in there perfect. u just got to figure out how u r gonn secure it. theres no need for an install kit for a din, plus they is fugly and get rid of ur center compartment. if i had pics i would post em. i also installed tweeters in the door panels for much better sound imaging. the shit in the dash had to go

 

How did you end up securing the Double DIN? I've ordered my panasonic. It looks like this, tell me what you think.
