Timing Chain Replacement
Timing Chain Replacement
I have a 99 2.3 CL with 111k miles. I know the previous owner never did the timing belt/chain service ever. I was wondering if anyone could recommend or tell me around what mileage that service has to be done. Any info for the tune-up I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You. If anyone from Miami reads this, recommend a good body shop please. Thank You.

change it now or you will be lookin at a 1500$ rework of the head.. i got pics of the head i just did of a dude i work with that has an eclipse, and his broke.. dogg i did the work for 300$ and he needed new valves, 4 new valveguides, all machine work done on head(magnaflux, pressure check, and plaining the mating surface) that only came up to 400$ in just head work, for a total of 700$ and i did all the dirty work. to include a new timing belt, and tensioners. mitsubishi wanted 500$ just to take the head off to see if any of the valves were bent. and each valve from them were gonna be 18$ a piece. x 16= 288. i got them for 11$ a piece.. eather way u can see its a bad idea to wait. ill post the pics when i get home.
