I asked those fags at the place I bought my car at(Ron Tonkin Honda) and they said wait until 105,000. I hate the place I bought my car and I hope they all rot in hell.

Speaking of the 100K tune-up myth.....is that actually true? You don't need to do a tune up till 100K, sparkplugs, etc? I'm a firm believer that NO mechanical devices can go w/o maintenance for that long.

My 3.0 doesn't get as good a gas mileage anymore. I believe the sparkplugs need replacing. It has 65K on it now. Some say to get a engine flush and fuel system clean....but those services cost about $100 each.

Do we have an interference or noninterference engine?

I haven't changed the timing belt on mine yet - 70K, but I did change it recently on my honda... it cost a lot (timing belt & waterpump).

I think I'll change it around 90K...

It is an interference engine.

The timing belt replacement intervals are pretty cautious now days. Honda has changed their interval from 90k to 105k in their newer cars, even from the same model run. I'd do it at the recommended interval, whether it be mileage or time, that is in your owners manual and not worry about it much.

Get the belt changed now... a lot less trouble - and expense - than waiting till it breaks (and it will). I should know - waited and paid the cost.

Daaaaaaaamn 1200 to get the timing belt replaced is way too much. My local honda mechanic quoted me around 275. but i blew all my money on christmas presents. Sheeeet.

1200 was probably a full tune up and everything flushed drained and hopefully licked clean.
