"thud" on passenger side after prokit/agx install

Hey guys,

I bought a pro-kit and kyb agx setup and had it installed this week. IT rides great, but there is this loud clang, almost sounds like something is loose, every time I hit even the smallest bump comming from the front passenger side. Front driver never emits such a noise. Is there anything I can check, so I know what to call him on?

take it back to the shop that did it and have him look it all over, your post is way to general for us to be able to tell

IF you just put it in, then maybe the springs isn't seated right on the shocks. Therefore after a few times of bouncing, it would sit in place and wouldn't make that noise anymore...but like Scott said just take it to the shop just in case

the bump is different, my spring tech's ride great but they also clunk in the back when i hit a conciderable bump. the prop being in the front could be a spring installed upside down. like said earlier take it back and have em see wadup

Here is a little more info... I took it back to the shop, he drove it around with me. This thump/clicking/rattling sound occurs when I go over bumps. In a parking lot if I rock the steering wheel back & forth fast, we can make the noise appear without hitting bumps.

If I do that while lightly hitting the brakes, it does not occur. If I'm lightly on the brakes going over bumps on the road, the sound does not appear.

He also showed me how if you wrap your arms around the wheel - on the ground or in the stand - there is significant play in the wheel which causes the clicking sound to occur. He thinks its a wheel bearing, but suggested I take it to the dealer (he doesn't have some special tool to remove the bearing)

I have never before heard this sound, or felt the play in the wheel (though I never tested that). He insists it's nothing he could have done, I don't know enough to argue with him.

The vehicle still is under an acura extended warranty; I just know they're gonna give me shit about my new shocks/springs though

The car is *soooo* much quieter and less violent going over bumps it is conceivable I didn't hear it before.

I installed my Pro-Kit about nine months ago and I have had that same sound ever since. I wish I knew what the hell it was.

progressive rate springs often bump each other. (one coil hits the one ontop of it.) theres nothing u can do about it.

Final verdict... Took it to another shop, and they said the bolts attaching the right upper arm were loose!! Bastards at the first place didn't catch that even when I took it back to them. I wonder what else is wrong

I have springs, and there's no clunking around here.
