For Those Who Need Type S cams Machined.
What up guys. I'm having my cams machined this week at GT Motorsports. I know it's hard for some of you to find a place that will do it. So if you ever need your cams machined, or live in Southern Cali and want to the directions to this place, please let me know, I'll be more than happy to help you out.
The price is $120 to machine them (not installed).
So now everyone here has the same opportunity to consider this upgrade/mod without the hassle of looking for a shop to machine the rear cam. I hope I made this upgrade/mod that much easier for you guys. Latz...
For any noobies that read this, this is for 3.0 CL's only.

I'm doing the install myself.
I don't know if you remember, but I dynoed at 175whp.
As for the last question, mmmm, there's a lot to say, so listen up:
To see what the max amount of hp I can get out of the cams would be idealy to go have your car tuned after installing them. That would take about 1 1/2 hrs to 2 hrs on the dyno. Now if I wanted to see what hp I got from them without tuning them, then I can just dyno the car and show you that.
But the thing is, I'm having my car retuned with the cams, bigger fuel pump, bigger fuel injectors, new exhaust system (mandrel bent piping this time and different Apex muffler) and 125 shot. So I can show you what my car dynoes at before they start the tuning(and without the n2o), just keep in mind that I'm having more fuel coming in, and mandrel bent piping, which could result in a higher hp gain than usual. Another thing you have to keep in mind, is that I won't be able to show you the max amount of hp I can get you out of them, because I'm having the car retuned to run on the 125 shot. So if I wanted to show you the max amount of hp you can get out of the cams, then I would have to have them retune it NA first. And all that would result in for me, is in a extra money/time spent. I hope all thismakes sense.
In simply words:
You can tune your NA car, and then run 125 shot.
or
You can tune your car to run on 125 shot. (ideally would be safer, and maybe more hp) Which is what I'm doing.
So if I show you my dyno before the tuning begins you woud have to take into consideration of the extra fuel coming in and the new exhaust system. I think it would be best not to take my dyno as the standard hp gains for the cams. But you could use it as a rough estimate. The other thing is, I won't be able to dyno my car for about 4 weeks, because it's going into the shop this week for body work (hit the mountain, posted details I believe) and then tranny work. The only thing I do not have are the fuel injectors, I don't know the size of our stock ones, and I would hate to buy too big of aftermarket ones.
Anyone know the size of our stock injectors?

The last thing I'll do to my motor (well considering it), is to port and polish. Now I know people have lost hp from doing so, but I'm assuming they have lost hp because they were getting an insuffecient amount of air into the motor (which would result in a lower velocity at which the air comes in, and then result in a bad air/fuel mixture). The question is, what did they port? I'm guessing they ported their intake ports, as that is the common thing to do.
So, what I am going to attempt, is to polish the pocket ports instead of the intake ports (so that I do not affect the velocity at which the air comes in), and polish the exhaust ports. But, I am not finished doing research on this, so I may be wrong on how this works. So when I am done researching, and and feel like it can be done with my car with the given mods I have and actually benefit in doing so, then I'll give a full explanation on what I did, how it works, cost, etc...

Cool now if you could just find me a place to get the type-s cam I would be all set. On the proty and polish the big thing I have heard is that the walls of the intake port are already thin so I have heard that a port and polish can weaken this but if they can do a civic why not do the cl
Hit me up if you know where to get that cam

The only problem now is, that my car leaking oil from what seems to be from themain seal. My parents want me to get rid of my car. So now I'm looking for ways out of it so that I can keep my car. I NEED HELP looking for a way to keep my car, and enhance it while I'm at it.
Anyone know is the Type S 6speed is available from japan? Since I cant find in the US, might as well go for a JDM one. Or at least just the block with the 6speed tranny.
ARHH!!! This sucks so bad. The cams have to hold off untill I figure out what's going to happen. CLPower, how much do you think it would cost to replace the main seal?
