The Things I Could Do with This . . . .

Just bought this off of eBay!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...406112814&rd=1

I figured: Why pay the dealer $1000+ for a timing belt/water pump/valve adjustment/Type 'S' cam swap, when I can simply drop in a "new" engine with 27K miles for $550???????

I'll need to get the cams machined (get them notched), but otherwise, my Uncle and I can do all of the work.

I saw that on ebay, and just had the feeling some one on here would buy it.

Nice purchase, now you have many years left for spraying.

Sweet! Are you gonna leave the other one in untill it starts falling apart or just swap it now?

Swap your N20 jets on the one you have in there now up to around a 150 shot until you blow it and see what kind of times you can get, that is if the tranny and axel can hold.

nice pick up rick, man you always get the good deals on ebay. you are always looking huh? that is a nice project engine once the wet kit blows the current one, but i would port and polish this one, have cams machined, put in the type s cams you have, get teh type s rods and pistons, and then get a type s throttle body and then your set. maybe a unorthodox racign pulley set might be nice too but more money nice pick and BTW the is a damn nice price.

Most likely.

I think I'm going to put this new engine in for now, then build the old engine.

I'm just not sure right now.

It's nice to have options!

ghander: Sorry about that! My max bid was only $550.00. Would you have beat that?

I'm still deciding on what to do for a new tranny. I'd love to snag one of the new 6-speeds from the Accord V-6 Coupe.

HOT SHIT RICK! Now go find yourself a 6-speed and you'd rule us all!!!

as a side note....my asshole supplier got the wrong fuel pump in from his supplier (he sent a integra/civic pump and not a prelude/accord pump) and so he's supposed to get it in tomorrow. Which means we're gonna need to postpone for yet another fuckin week Anyways, I'm going up to Canada to visit my girlfriend this weekend, so this weekend wouldn't have worked out anyways. Sooo....next weekend??

That's why I call him "Slick Rick"

He gets the best deals on Ebay and I can't blame him for that purchase. If I had space to store it, i'd have bought it, or at least a wrecked one and used it for parts.

Rick, give me a holla about the Springs for Saturday. The rims are being mounted Friday morning, I can't wait any longer, they are sitting in my living room and I am going to Zaino them tonight!!!!

I just recieved word that the engine was delivered to my Uncle's shop in PA.

I had it delivered there because I have no place to work on it here in MD (I live in a townhouse community--no garage).

I'm going up to PA this weekend to see what I've got to play with!

Dennis, where's the write up on the OBX headers we did on Sunday????

Also, if you want some tranny work there is a shop out here called art carr that does good work. 100% better then Level 10!

Shipping was a reasonable $150.00 (anywhere in the U.S.).

ghander: I heard nothing but EXCELLENT feedback about Art Carr's work from AV6.com!

I'm not sure what work I'll do to build the motor. Any suggestions are welcome!
