Is there a simple way to...

...adjust the spring tension of he accelerator pedal on a 97 3.0? The pedal is very light and it gets kinda tiring on long drives.

Is there a simple way to get a heavier spring tension on that pedal?

I guess I should qualify "long drives" to be "stuck in 2 hours of traffic", so no cruise control. Basically, the throttle is quite a bit lighter on this car than any other I have owned so I guess I am just not used to it. Being tall makes it even harder since the seat won't go back far enough to give me support under my leg. Just a comfort thing, so I was curious if anyone else noticed it.
