TEIN SS questions..

I know this has probably been asked many many times before, but I was wondering.. the 94-97 Accord Tein SS Coilover kit should fit perfectly on our cars right? I have a 97 2.2. And does our cars stock have the pillowball uppermount?
-Thanks guys!

Yes, the teins will fit perfect. And you use the pillowball mounts from the stock assembly. No need to buy them from tein.

99+ TL and 01+ CL, that's an error on overboost.

How low does the car have to be before you have to get a camber kit anyway? is it when you go lower than 2 inches?

I've been thinking about the Tein SS as well by I'm concerned about the 200lbs or so weight difference between the 94-97 Accord and our CL. Is this any sort of problem? Is there a way to stiffen or swap the springs from the accord kit for something stiffer?

u don't need stiffer springs... the shock/strut is adjustable so u can stiffen the shocks, but isn't really a problem at all imagine someone in an accord weighs 200 and they got a passenger at 180... same thing as the CL with u in it...

not a problem.

It's all relative but i see your point. I had read in earlier posts (and, believe me, I researched this to death) that some people had bottoming out problems and others had implied that Tein would have switched out the springs for them. I just want to know that I am going to get max performance out of a new $850 set of coilovers. Otherwise I'll look at, say, a Prokit/Koni combo that's specifically made for the car. I AM curious to hear from anyone who has a 98-99 2.3 with the Tein SSs installed.

the prokit is specifically made for the accord too.... and konis too... not sure what ur trying to get at.

i have tein SS but not installed lol im so lazy.

and the consensus is... "if I had to do it all over again, I would have just gotten the TEIN SS in the first place."

I've heard that before. Your right, the part numbers are the same, now that i look at them. I'm just trying to be sure that the parts for the Accord don't just FIT but are also correct in their OPERATION. Teins it is!

lol you're finally installing them this week? I remember asking you about them in January. I've already had mine on for months bro! :P

Skittlebrau, to address your point about bottoming out and the weight difference...most of those threads involved the 2nd gen guys using the Teins on their cars. Thats the reasons they were having problems with bottoming out. You shouldn't have any, our 1st gens are closer in weight to the 94-97 Accords than the 2nd gens are to the 98-01 Accords (which is the set they use). Hope that helps...

$800 is a good deal, mine were $850 shipped, and I was happy with the service. PM blxmjx if your $800 deal falls through, alot of us bought our Teins from him, and I'd definitely do business with him again.

depends how far u drop it but if u got coilovers u probably going to slam that bitch... so camber in the front of u can bend the control arms slightly and get a camber kit to correct the rest that way u can still raise the car a little without getting posative camber.

in the rear... it can be fixed with a few washers and a bolt.
