Well??? How is the ride? Are you content? [ you better be if you paid $850+ ] Is it stiff? Takes turns real well? How much of a drop did you attain?
How was the install process.
-These are things we need to know!

Oh yeah, PICS??

lol it is. I'm not going to post pics yet because 1) it was still settling last night, so i have to raise the back 2) it pretty much looks the same as my last drop.

I've been playing with the ride quality. The stiffest setting isn't all that stiff, but its firm enough for me if I'm doing some spirited driving. Right now i have it set at 10 clicks from stiffest in the front, 12 clicks from stiffest in the rear. Its right at the point where its soft, but not floaty. This is a huge difference from my coilover sleeves, I can actually drive without worrying about the road being uneven.

Install was easy - took about 3-4 hours with a friend without rushing. Created a custom mount on the right side of the engine bay for the strut bar - so unlike Dennis I didn't lose my strut bar when installing the Teins.

I have the car pretty much slammed, but the front still has a little wheel gap. Sometime today, I'll probably adjust the front all the way to the bottom of the threading. I'm tucking a little in the rears, so I'll be raising the rears soon.

Cliff Notes: The ride on the Teins is great. Easy to adjust stiffness as well. I'll post pics once I tweak the ride height

lol i think he was referring to the Teins - thats a tough question.

I really enjoyed the ride I had with my H&R sports/KYBs...but it just wasn't low enough for me. I'd have to say that if I knew I'd get 18s and want to reduce most of my wheelgap in the 1st place, I wish I went straight for the Teins instead of trying too many other setups. Its easier to adjust the dampening than on the Kyb's (with more adjustability), and for being so low (almost tucking in the rear), its pretty comfortable. I'm sure they'd be pretty fun in an Auto-X setup, but some people who are really hardcore might think the spring rates are too soft. Personally, I think they are just right. Stiff enough for some fun driving, but can be soft enough for a comfortable long distance drive. These aren't race coilovers...just a good street setup IMO.

Oh, and it comes with a ton of stickers

So let me get this straight. From a stock set-up, if you went to install the Tein coilovers, you would lose the top strut bar? If so, could you use an after market strut bar?

I'll take pics to describe it - but when dennis installed his Teins, he lost the front strut bar because the strut on the right side comes up so high that the strut bar can't sit where it normally does. All i did was put some washers underneath the right side where it bolts down, giving it enough height so that it clears the top of the strut, but isn't too high that the hood can't close. Make sense?

And blacura1999 - I already had a camber kit from my previous coilover sleeve drop...since I'm going to stay as low (less than 1 finger gap all the way around) as before, it will come in handy.

I guess you didn't understand, but I currently have the stock strut bar with my KYB's. I was thinking about getting tein's and wanted to know what he meant. I also have an after market strut bar that only uses 2 bolts and sits farther than the stock strut bar allowing for more clearance on top.

At least ATLcl98 clarified things for me. Thanks!

lol, thanks bastard - I feel the same way...the car doesn't look any different...but it rides great for being so low, and the dampening adjustability is better than my kyb's...

Hey, I have the H&R sports but don't feel I'm low enough. I also have about 62k miles on the stock struts and I KNOW they're about to give out. Especially since I'm always dropping 200+lbs of gravel and dirt in the trunk at Home Depot. I know, get a truck already.

Anyway, I was wondering if the KYB's you keep referring to are the Koni Yellows everyone on the board buys. Would I get about another 1/2" drop over my H&R's? I'd be interested in them if so... PM me.

First of all, they wouldn't fit your TypeS. Second, the Koni Yellows have a lower perch you can set them on, which will give you that extra drop. KYB's do not have this. I'd say just go and get the Koni Yellows...ask the guys in Car Talk first though, they'd be more helpful for your ride
