tein basics vs. prokit/tokicos
Alright, i can get the tein basics for probably $250 more than the prokit/tokico hp set up. I have two questions though....
1. What will the difference in ride, if any, be like between them. Since the basics arent adjustable for dampening, will they be stiffer or softer than the tokico's with pro kits?
2. If i'm only dropping about 1.5" (to start of course....) with the basics, would i need a camber kit? I know people are always talk about needing camber kits for the teins, but I just assumed that they were dropping it beyond that 1.5" mark since they could.
Thanks a lot!
-Mike
P.S. pics to come soon of my recent upgrades as soon as I get my hands on a digital camera (don't get too excited, nothing amazing) I just don't wanna give it away since i haven't seen it on any first gen yet....

there is a GB going on in this forum right now that has the TIEN S going for like $800 shipped. That will get you like a 4" drop if youw ant it, but it's also adjustable, plus the ride and handling quality is 20x better with the tien SS, but you WILL have to get camber kits for those because witha drop that big you absolutely will have negative camber.

yeah i understand that but what if i only dropped it 1.5" (like a pro kit drop) with teins...would i need a camber kit? also, are the basics dampened like the softer or stiffer end of the SS

SS is has 16 different levels of shock absorbsion...
so can be either softer or firmer depending what you want.
and like I said you might need camber kit or might not... each car is different.

aaaaaaaaaaah, this is the big problem with the internet, i can't say what i mean. let me try again..... Are the Tein Basics (which does NOT have adjustable dampening) more like a Tein SS that is set to a stiffer setting or more like a Tein SS that is set to a softer setting? thanks dudes, again, i'd be lost without this forum
