TCM-PCM connection
TCM-PCM connection
ok here's my problem...i put on my headers last week and my life has slowly gone to hell. my car feels like it's starting in od and just wonders its way down the road. i figure great tranny's shot, so it's off to the transmission shop. they tell me there was a wire broken on the second gear solenoid (?) and something wrong with the tcm-pcm connection. so they end up telling me, they can't track it down, but here's the number to another shop that can.
the acura stealership is out of the question since the nearest one is 50 miles away. the shop i was at today specializes more in rebuilds than actual trobleshooting.
so the question to all the 3.0 experts is where the hell are these connections??? i mean the physical locations because if it just needs to be pushed back together then i can save that $100 or whatever and spend it on the next thing that breaks. but i need my car back. i hate playing punk husband waiting for his wife.

get the manual its only 38$ but it covers everything including the tcm pinout and troubleshooting/wire shooting.
it says 99 but it covers 97 which is totally different than the 98/99.
it sounds like your vehicle speed sensor is disconnected or has a bad connection.
also they are prolly talkin about the 2nd gear pressure switch, theres a 3rd gear one in front of the tranny on the bottom just make sure there is no dangling wires anywhere. every sensor on that tranny does something. it cant hurt to remove the intake filter and pipe and push in on all the connectors. theres like 12 of them so make sure you check them ALL.
