when i was lookin at cars it was a 98 2.3 5spd with tan interior and that burgundy color that got me liking the CL's.
in short.. yes, tan interiors did come as another color.

Hmmm... I know they had tan interiors offered after the '98 model year. But, I don't think they had any on the '97s. Cause when I went to the dealer I initially wanted a black w/ tan. He said that they only had black, lt gray, and that blue color that Angel has on her car. I didn't want to wait so I settled on the cypress green I have. The tan interior is pretty, though

What dealer did you go to because there was never a blue interior made. Than again there wasnt a black one either. On the '97s all you could get what dark grey and light grey. I think they were called charcoal or something.

I went to our local dealer back home in Hawaii. I highly doubt the salesman lied to me cause my dad IS his boss! I got my car back in April of '97 -- one of the first on my island. I could've sworn that Angel's car had a dk blue interior, too. I'll have to go ask around. I don't want to look stupid.

Ok, I did some discussing with other members and found that it may have very well been the salesman making a subjective judgement on the color of the dk. blue-looking charcoal interior of the '97 cars. As a result, I'm confused myself. Aside from what Acura classified that color as, let's see what you all think about the color. Here's the link to a thread where 1stgenCL posted a pic of Angel's interior. http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...threadid=53324 -- I talked to Juniorbean who thinks the '97s color looked more blueish than blackish so here's the link to the pics of his '98s interior http://www.geocities.com/juniorbean/CLPage1.html What do you all think?

All i know is that there was only a light and dark grey for the '97 CLs. I have the original brocher (sp?) from when i got the car back in early '97 or so.

Well, you're one up on me since you have the orig brochure. I was going off of what I was told when I went to buy the car when they first came out. It does kinda look blue in my eyes, though.

I know you're not 1stGenCL... I know he has the brochure but isn't it interesting how even some owners think their cars interiors look blue?! Ah well
