Taking off the resonator?

Taking off the resonator?

Has anyone on here taken off the resonator off the exhaust? my brother said if you take it off it would sound really ricey, im not sure thought, anyone welded it straight through? thanks

it probably won't sound ricey if you stick w/ the stock exhaust. I believe on our car it needs to be cut out though, better take it to an exhaust shop

I would say take the resonator from the intake unless u already did that with a cold air intake. Removing it from the exhaust might be too loud/annoying.

w/ the stock exhaust it'll sound fine. I think it would actually give the car a little testosterone

It wont sound ricey at all with any exhaust... but it will amplkify the sound by 10x easy!!! I had an N1 with no resignator and it was TERRIBLY loud.. Keep your RES IN!!!!

Definitely. Its there for a reason and removing won't add any hp. When I had my exhaust done, at first it was painfully loud inside. So I had them put on biggest resonator they had, sounds good now.

I replaced mine with regular piping when I had my cat-back put on and it sounded better, but it was pretty loud.
