tailight tint

hey guys,

if we could get 7-10 people interested in tailight tint for our first gen's then rockblocker will produce them. he 's says he needs to see some interest for older-no-longer-in-production models in order to produce anything. heres a link to his products and u could read for urselfs what he said: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...5&page=2&pp=25

it is a film that is applied to the tailight and it removable compared to spray ons where it is not removable or at least easily removed. they will cost about $45- $50 i believe.

motohip you are on the right track thats all it is window tint fitted on to the tail light and someone asked how to get arround curves the same way they get arround the curves on your windows or are all your windows flat ? .... i didnt think so the trick is using a heat gun on low so that the film shrinks to the shape of the surface that its on..Tip** get enuff film to practice and do not put heat gun too close to film better to be too far than to melt whole thru film and damage light hope this helps guys !

I would be interested, since my car is all black already, and I'm doing black headlight housing. If it's custom cut/fit that would be nice. What are the prices looking like?

You mean ricey altezza lights? This is the first and only thing that I've seen for the tail lights, and I think tinting them would be sweeter than some gay clear tail lights.

no, like half red, half white, like the taillights of a bmw or accord, how the brakes are red and the turns are white

5 down 2 left

the second gen cl's had to do the same thing we are doing, get 7-10 people interested in the tint film and rockblocker would then consider producing them. after gathering all the interested people rockblocker made the tint for their tailights.

i wouldnt use the spray, if you get pulled over, and you get a fix-it ticket, your gonna have one hell of a time getting it off i heard, or get new tails. I know a place in LA that makes custom taillight tints for like $50 i think.. dunno if thats a good price or not

hey, instead of window tint, go to a graphics shop, and buy a big peice of colored vinyl, colored to match your car, and then cut the shape of the tails into the vinyl, after you have a template, mark where your lights are and cut out any designs you want for the light to shine thru, i have done this a couple of times for local shows here in columbus...it looks pretty tight with all black car and black taillights, i have done circles, and i tried an acura logo for the main running/brake lights...but i messed up the logo, otherwise it looked pretty sweet...sorry no pictures, but i will make some again, and post...later .B
